1. What Information Do We Collect?

Information you provide to us

We collect information you give us when you contact us, book a session, or work with us as a client. This may include:

  • Name and contact information (email address, phone number, home address)

  • Scheduling and appointment data (dates, times, and nature of sessions)

  • Account credentials (username and password, managed by Acuity Scheduling)

  • Contact preferences

  • Messages and correspondence, including anything you share by email or text

  • Payment information — processed entirely by our payment processors (see Payment Data below)

Contact form. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any message you choose to send. If you opt in using the checkboxes on the form, we may also send you occasional updates or promotional communications. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us at privacy@truenestcuration.com.

Payment Data. We collect information necessary to process your payment, but we never store or have access to your payment card information. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Square, or PayPal. Your card data is subject to their security standards and privacy policies.

Sensitive information in correspondence. Occasionally, clients may share health-related or other personal details in emails or messages. We do not record or catalog this information separately; it remains only in the original correspondence.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We also use Google Analytics to understand how our site is used. See Section 4 for more on tracking technologies.

We use the information we collect to:

Service providers

We work with the following third-party service providers who may access your information to perform services on our behalf:

  • Google Analytics — website analytics and usage measurement (analytics and service improvement only; not used for commercial data sale or audience building). Data collected through Google Analytics is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

  • Acuity Scheduling — appointment booking

  • Stripe, Square, and PayPal — payment processing

  • Squarespace — website hosting and Squarespace Analytics (site performance data)

  • Gmail — email communication in response to contact form submissions

  • Microsoft OneDrive — secure cloud storage for session notes

  • Google Ads — not currently active; may be used in the future for search advertising only (not remarketing or audience targeting)

Contact form: Information submitted through our contact form is used only to respond to your inquiry, unless you have opted in to receive updates or promotions by checking the relevant box on the form. We do not use contact form submissions for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Contact form data passes through Squarespace (our website platform) and our email provider (Gmail) in the normal course of responding to you. Neither is used to sell or share your information with third parties.

AI-assisted session planning and business operations

We use Anthropic's Claude to assist with session planning and with editing internal notes and communications. Any client information used in this process is de-identified before use. You may request that your information not be used in AI-assisted work by contacting us before your engagement begins.

Business partners

We may share relevant session information with KonMari Media, Inc. for purposes of professional certification or badge qualification, only with explicit client consent.

When information is shared with KonMari Media, Inc., it is also subject to their privacy policy at https://konmari.com/privacy-policy.

Social media

We may feature client home photos or client social tags and mentions on our website and social media — home photos only with prior written consent, social content under consent obtained at intake. You may withdraw either consent at any time.

Testimonials

We may feature client testimonials or quotes on our website only with your explicit consent.

4. Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (including web beacons, pixels, and tags) on our website. These may be used by Google Analytics, Google Ads, Squarespace, and Instagram depending on which services are active at the time of your visit.

We do not currently respond to Do-Not-Track browser signals. We will update this policy if a standard for online tracking is adopted that we are required to follow.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): Our website does not currently have GPC enabled.

5. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with applicable law. In general, we keep information for up to 12 months after your last contact with us.

Retention periods vary by data type. Session notes are deleted or de-identified within 30–60 days of the engagement closing. Contact and booking information may be retained for up to 12 months after last contact. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting purposes; payment card data is never stored by us and is held solely by our payment processors. Client home photos are retained only with active consent and deleted upon request. Website analytics data is retained by Google Analytics per their data retention settings; we do not directly control this data. Virtual session recordings are deleted within 60 days of the session

6. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We take reasonable steps to protect your information — including password-protected storage and de-identified notes. That said, no digital system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Do We Collect Information from Minors?

We do not knowingly collect information from or market to anyone under 18 years of age. Our services are intended for adults only.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data, and the right to opt out of certain uses.

We will never deny, downgrade, or alter our services because you exercised a privacy right.

9. US State Privacy Rights

Depending on the state where you reside, you may have specific rights under your state’s privacy law. These may include the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of certain data uses.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising as defined under applicable state laws.

  • Geolocation data (approximate, via Google Analytics) — retained per Google Analytics settings

  • Sensory data (virtual session recordings, with client permission) — deleted within 60 days

  • Contents of email or text messages — retained in correspondence only; not separately recorded

We have not collected characteristics, professional/employment data, inferences, or other sensitive personal information categories.
